PAVER
PAVER is a pavement maintenance management system developed in the late 1970s to assist the Department of Defense (DOD) in managing maintenance and repair for its extensive pavement inventory. It utilizes inspection data and a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) rating, ranging from zero (failed) to 100 (excellent), to consistently describe pavement conditions and predict future M&R needs. The PCI for airports became an ASTM standard in 1993 (D5340-10), and for roads and parking lots in 1999 (D6433-09). PAVER™ performs multiple levels of analysis to optimize the allocation of M&R resources. Its development has been supported by entities such as the US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, Federal Aviation Administration, and Federal Highway Administration. Non-DOD users benefit from training and technology support services provided by Colorado State University. When inspecting concrete pavement, the program allows the user to generate graphics of the individual concrete panels.

PAVEXpress
PAVEXpress is a free, web-based pavement design tool developed to assist local agencies, engineers, and architects in determining the necessary pavement thickness for various projects. It generates pavement structural designs for both asphalt and concrete pavements based on widely accepted industry standards from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). The tool has been adopted by public agencies, such as the Washington State Department of Transportation, as an accepted resource for assessing, scoping, and designing pavements. PAVEXpress has expanded to include features like asphalt overlays, porous asphalt sections, life cycle cost analyses, and perpetual pavement design. Additionally, PAVEInstruct, a web-based education system with video instruction by industry experts, complements PAVEXpress by providing technically sound pavement design guidance.
