Its primary solution is Network Authority Automation, with two optional products: Enterprise CMDB (eCMDB) and Lifecycle. Network Engineers use AlterPoint as an on-premise solution to change the configuration of routers, switches, repeaters, bridges and gateways, as well as to back-up the configuration of devices and create scripts to change configurations and manage security.
