Quick License Manager (QLM)

Pros: Not everyone programs in C and it's the developer responsible to provide the proper examples in all the programming languages that is supported. Over 95% of the examples is written in C and the developer needs to correct this issue. I have been bugging him for the past 2 years to get it done and their has not been any progress in this matter.

Cons: The docs and examples need to be provided both in C and Visual Studio Visual Basic, The user should not have to convert his docs.

Overall: Need to write better docs and provide more examples in all the version of Visual Studio Visual Basic that is supported.

Pros: We have been using QLM for 5 years in our application and it has worked flawlessly so far. The management console is easy is to use. The licensing system itself is robust and we have faced no downtime. In addition, whenever we had any configuration issues we received excellent customer support.

Cons: The only con i can think of is that management console is perhaps a bit slow to respond sometimes.

Overall: Overall, we have been very satisfied with QLM and recommend it to anyone considering a similar system.

Pros: Ease of use and responsive customer service makes this one of the best if not the best product on the market!

Cons: We don’t have any complaints about Quick License Manager.

Overall: Quick License Manager is the best of class. We have never had any real trouble and if there were minor issues, they were resolved quickly.

Overall: We are using QLM for over 4 years. The software works well and is reliable. Compared to the USB dongles we've been using so far, it is a huge step forward for us!

Cons: So far haven't had any issues with QLM. However, we suggest more frequent updates for WordPress plugin.

Overall: We have been using QLM for over 3 years now and have always enjoyed working on it. The support is excellent and you are never alone when you need help.

Pros: The software has all the functionality we need to license management at a fair cost. The software meets all of our needs.

Cons: The user interface and user experience could be improved. As a non technical founder, i often find navigating the desktop tool can be a challenge.

Overall: The software works well and is reliable. We have been happy customers for over 2 years. It is a good solution that allows you to grow within the framework at a reasonable cost. The UI/UX experience in the desktop software could be improved.

Pros: We use it in bimlearning to manage our software licences and we love it for its ease of integration, process automation, automatic sending of activation keys, ease of activation-deactivation and quick and efficient support when doubts arise.

Cons: Frankly, so far it has been all advantages, for us, who work in Spanish, the most complicated thing has been working in English, a version of the application in Spanish would be appreciated, although it has not limited us in its use.

Overall: Overall we are very satisfied and will continue to use it in our current and future applications. Once we understood how the solution works, the integration in new applications that can be developed later is extraordinarily fast and the speed of support in case of doubts has convinced us to use it.

Pros: QLM is easy to set up, reliably quick and packed full of features. It has more features than we have needed to use this far, but those we have used have never failed to meet our expectations. Customer service is reliable and of the times we have had to reach out for things like transferring or renewing a license, the process was smooth and easily accomplished.

Cons: Machine based licensing can be a hassle in some environments; we’ve regularly had to change machines due to office moves and other changes and when we do, we sometimes have to reach out to support to release a license so we can re-install and configure the product on a new machine.

Overall: It’s been a pleasure and ease to use, it integrated seamlessly with our multi platform solutions and we will likely continue to use it for our licensing needs in the future.

Pros: Great flexibility managing licences and software (products and versions) you made.
Easy to use for the user of the software, internet connected or off line.

Cons: Creating more detailed and up-to-date video tutorials would help maximize the exploitation and enhancement of QLM. Its flexibility and power, if not adequately illustrated, can paradoxically represent a limit.

Overall: A great and flexible product that satisfies all needs you have to protect several kinds of software with a solid help desk. Recommended.

Pros: We've been using the software for about 7 years now and it has worked extremely well for us. It was easy to integrate with our software and its user interface makes it easy to navigate to quickly generate license keys.
Support has been very good the few times that we needed it.

Cons: Too many columns of data we don't need, the ability to remove these columns and only display the data we use would be nice.

Overall: QLM is easy to use and made licensing easy for our application. Overall this is a great program at a great price.

Pros: We decided to give it a chance and we will now stay with it.
Not being forced to use your own licensing system is really a big time saver for us.

Cons: I would be nice to be able to pay for a year in advance.

Overall: For every new system it is normal that you need some time to understand and use it in the right way. The Onboarding worked quite smooth.

Cons: - The built-in analytics charts are too generic, but thankfully the ability to store custom data allowed us to store our own data and build our own custom dashboards in Excel/Power BI
- Minor UI nuisances like how sorting and grouping are lost after refreshing the tables or limited bulk-editing capability

Overall: Overall, QLM is very flexible which allows us to use it in new ways as our product portfolio matures.

Pros: The flexible design allowed me to change the way the product was originally designed (for licensing on individual machines) to work for licensing an instance of enterprise level software (Financial Accounting/ERP system) across multiple workstations within the system.

I was able to create my own interface within my application with calls to the QLM APIs to allow it to handle my requirements. Including starting free trial periods without needing to contact us.

I also created my own license management tool using the QLM APIs which is also integrated with PayPal and Email so it can send out subscription renewal invoices and renewal notice emails.

We are hosting our server with QLM which means we don't need to set up or maintain the infrastructure.

Cons: None really.

I would like to see some more fields in the tables for storing custom or user defined data. This feature request has been made and hopefully will show up in the QLM product soon.

Quick License Manager (QLM) from Soraco has been a vital component in running my business.

The support has always been excellent.

During the initial implementation, I was able to get assistance with how to make all the API calls to get my application and management tools working.

Ongoing support has been responsive and any technical issues have been resolved quickly and efficiently.

They have also been really good with feature requests and a number of my ideas have already been incorporated into the product.

I am happy to recommend this product.

Pros: The support agent answered my email very quickly and after some back and forth had me all set up and ready to go with ease.

Cons: Nothing.

Overall: Came back from vacation and QLM wasn't working anymore. Support was super helpful getting me going again especially since I had no idea what had happened when I was gone.

You the ability to implement an email nurture process based on conditions is a huge plus for those who have online trials.

Cons: Can’t think of any. There has been a solution for every request I had, and the company is always improving and innovating to stay ahead of customer needs.

Overall: QLM is an excellent product, it's easy to use (even by a non-developer like me), works beautifully, and provides many integration options with other systems. What really stands out with Soraco is their level of support and commitment to their customers. The support has been beyond amazing since day 1, and they continue to exceed my expectations. I have worked at many software companies of different sizes for the past 15 years and I find that the support at Soraco is unparalleled! Thank you and way to go Soraco!
