The Zuzhiverse!

TLDR: The Zuzhiverse is a world for my OCs based on early 2010s furry animation memes and OCs that fully embraces everything considered "cringy".

The Zuzhiverse was an idea originally conceptualized from my YouTube channel.

The YouTube channel was created in January 2019. The first video was a MAP entry I first posted on my first (and at the time main) channel! Then, I had a brilliant idea... what if I made a whole channel? At the time, there was a trend of bringing back the 2009-ish era of furry animation memes and culture... I'm not sure it was a big trend, since from my memory, it started on Google+ shortly after the shutdown was announced. Either way, I believe I might be the only person who actually stuck with the characters made at that time for that trend. But if you know that I'm wrong, I would genuinely love nothing more than to see it!! :)

Originally, I didn't have a whole world in mind when I made Lufi for that MAP part! I only really started coming up with things when I made Iful. I believe I made Iful for an animation to iNSaNiTY by CircusP that was never finished and has unfortunately been lost to the void.

The Zuzhiverse is heavily inspired by early 2010s furry OCs and animation memes, though obviously not 100% accurate to actual design tropes from that time--mostly just the stereotypical things! I also purposefully put in a lot of "bad" design tropes (such as overly saturated colors, rainbows, etc.). One of the main gimmicks, however, is the adoption of the "evil side" trope into separate characters! Everybody in the Zuzhiverse has a counterpart that takes on an "edgier" (or less edgy, if they're the edgy one) recolor. I like to think I'm clever. :-)

Of course, there is much more to the world than just that, but I'm not going to write a whole essay in a Carrd. I plan to upload as much information as possible onto my CharacterHub, so if you're interested, please check that out!

Mangoes is yet another OC world I've created. This one is significantly newer, but has a lot going on, and the majority of my OCs lie within!

The main concept is a large modern fantasy universe where just about anything can be included! Originally, I wanted it to be a semi-open collaboration, so anybody could submit a species or character to be included in a "canon". I don't think I'm big enough of a creator for that to actually be a thing, but if, for one reason or another, you still want to create something for me to include in Mangoes, please let me know!

The name "Mangoes" comes from a silly doodle a buddy made for me of a cat absolutely chowing down on a mango. I made this image the server icon, eventually decided it would be a "placeholder" name, and then realized I couldn't actually think of a proper name since there is no central theme to the universe. With the help of a suggestion from one of my BFFs, it has since been decided that every planet, world, universe, etc. has at least one unique species of mango... and if at all possible, several species.

I have a LOT of worldbuilding in my mind for it that I am slowly but surely transferring into several places. The current main place is a Google Doc that I think I'll keep to my friends and me, BUT I am trying to make a website that has all of the same information... but prettier!!

... I just need to learn how to properly code... qwq

Terms of Service

By entering a commission process with me, you agree to read and adhere to these terms of service. If you fail to adhere to these terms, I reserve the right to cancel your commission with or without refund of any payments previously made, blacklist you from future commissions, and do anything else I feel necessary in order to keep the integrity of my art safe.
In these terms, "artwork" refers to any creations made by me. This includes, but is not limited to, illustrations, character designs, and animations.
You are expected to read these in full before commissioning me, but here's an overview for those who are just skimming: Credit me properly, don't steal my art, don't feed my art into AI, don't use my art to promote bigotry or harm, don't be rude to me, you must pay me, and I don't have to do anything I don't want to.
Section I: Usage of My Artwork
1. You may post art created for you on any platform, so long as the credit is explicit and accessible.
Explicit means you must state that the art was created by me and post a link (if possible) directly to one of my active socials (preferably tag me on the same platform that you're posting on, but if I don't have an account there, then fall back to my Bluesky).
Accessible means the credit must be easy to find, read, and understand. Do not hide the credit in a wall of text, put it in tiny text, put it in a color that is too difficult to read on the background, write it in a copy-paste font, or make it otherwise inaccessible or a pain to locate.
- Examples of proper credit: "Artwork created by @sphenyan", "Drawing was made by https://bsky.app/profile/sphenyan.bsky.social", "drawing was made by sphenyan on Bluesky"
- Examples of improper credit: "Art was a commission", "art not mine", etc
2. You may make edits to the final piece, as long as the edits do not obscure my signatures/watermarks.
- Examples of acceptable edits: putting a filter over the image, manually adjusting colors on the image (though I may do this for free if you need!), placing a watermark over the image to discourage theft
- Examples of unacceptable edits: cropping the image until all of my signatures can't be seen, coloring over my watermarks, placing your watermark over the image in a way that makes it seem like you drew it
3. You may NOT upload my artwork to any place that can or might use it for generative AI training. You may NOT use my artwork for your own generative AI training, regardless of public accessibility. This includes uploading my artwork to X (formerly Twitter) in ANY capacity, including profile photos, headers, within videos, or directly in posts.
4. You may NOT use my artwork for any commercial purposes, such as advertising paid services or products, or in any services or products that can be accessed monetarily, such as Patreon-exclusive content, paid video games, or merchandise. An exception may be made if commercial use has been previously discussed between us.
5. You may NOT use my artwork to support harm or bigotry. Bigotry may include racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, aphobia, ableism, misogyny, nazism, hate speech towards any religious groups, or anything else that involves hatred or prejudice against minorities and protected groups. "Harm" may include calls to violent action, encouragement of suicide or self-harm, or anything else that involves actual or potential physical or emotional harm to individuals.
Section II: Communication & Payment
1. During and after the commission process, you must speak to me without insult or cruelty. Insult or cruelty includes, but is not limited to, slurs, vulgar insults, non-vulgar insults, passive aggression, pushiness, disrespect for my time, or anything else that may be seen as rude, hurtful, insulting, or cruel.
2. You must pay 50% of the agreed price before any work on the commission is begun. The other 50% of the agreed price must be sent after the sketch is approved and before the rest of the commission is finished. In the case of the commission being only a sketch, the other 50% may be sent after the commission is completed, but must be sent before I send you the full piece.
3. Until the commission is paid in full, you have no rights to use the artwork in any way.
Section III: Reservations
1. I reserve the right to cancel a commission for any or no reason, regardless of payment provided or progress made, with or without a refund.
2. I reserve the right to not accept anybody as a potential client/customer for any or no reason.
3. I reserve the right to not accept any subject matter proposed in a commission for any or no reason.
4. I reserve the right to blacklist anybody from being a potential client/customer for any or no reason.

This is a non-comprehensive guide to how commissioning me would typically go! In general, always know that I am more than open to questions about anything. If you're not sure I can or will do something, please just ask! I will also be asking a lot of questions, because I want you to be 100% happy with your commission.
During the entire process, I will do my best to consistently check in with progress updates. If you don't hear from me, go ahead and message me! My goal is to be 100% transparent with how much (or little) I've done.
Stage 0: Getting in Contact
I have many platforms, all of which can be found through the links at the beginning of this Carrd. Typically, Bluesky is my preferred method of communication, but I'm open to discussing on any platform and even via email. During this stage, we can discuss all the details of your commission and agree upon a price.
For simplicity, here is a small form that you can fill out and DM me with to reduce the number of questions from me that you have to answer!
Stage 1: First Payment & Sketch
Once the price is solidified, I will ask that you pay 50% of it upfront. This 50% is ONLY refundable if I haven't started any work on the commission yet, but as soon as I do, it is no longer refundable.
After you provide the first payment, I will go ahead and get started with a rough sketch. Then, I will send you a WIP. During this stage, you are free to ask for as many adjustments as your heart desires. I just ask that you ask for revisions in bulk, rather than asking for several small details to be changed one at a time </3
Stage 2: Second Payment & Color
When you decide you're happy with the rough sketch, I will ask for the second half of the payment before I continue working on your commission.
After I've received full payment, I will continue. After this point, you can no longer ask for revisions of the composition! However, when I finish the coloring, I will send it to you to make sure that I've colored everything to your liking. At this point, you're welcome to ask me to tweak the colors if I got something wrong!
Stage 3: The End
After you've approved the colors, I will fully finish the commission (assuming that your commission involves any sort of rendering).
When I've finished the commission, I will send you the final piece through DMs, and I will send you a direct link to the file on FileGarden so that you can download it without compression. This link should be permanent, but if it ever breaks, you're welcome to DM me again so I can help.
I will assume by default that I'm allowed to post the commission to my own socials, and so I will usually do this (with credit to you for the character) after you've seen the commission yourself. If you don't want me to post it, then please tell me!

Here are some examples of how things I've already drawn would be priced, and a helpful list of things I can and can't/won't do!
(Tip: Hover over the images to see them without the caption.)

"Will"s and "Wont"s

I Will Draw...

- Human(oid)s
- Furries/anthro animals
- Feral animals
- Object-head characters
- Abstract/highly stylized characters
- Gore and violence (on adult characters)
- Ship art/character interactions
- Sexually suggestive, explicit, and fetish content (of adult characters for adult clients)
- Non-sexual nudity (of adult characters for adult clients)

I Won't Draw...

- Depictions of bigotry or bigoted imagery
- Depictions of abuse
- Depictions of child harm/injury
- Sexually suggestive, explicit, fetish, or nude content of children

Ask Me About...

- Commissions involving characters from existing, published media
- Possibly sensitive or triggering content (such as suicide or self-harm)
- Anything you're unsure of! Chances are that if it's not here, I haven't even thought of it, and I always love a new idea :P

Notes...

- In human characters (or characters with the life span of a regular human), I count anyone under 18 years old as a child. For non-human characters, I go by what is full-grown for the species in question (assuming it's a real species). Regardless of a character's literal age, if they look like a child, then I will treat them as one.
- Clients commissioning adult content must have some way for me to verify they are an adult. This usually means I expect their social media to publicly and reliably state their age. If I'm not confident that somebody is over 18, I will not accept commissions for adult content. Please do not send me your ID.
