Narrated by Imam Ali, peace be upon him


إنَّ الدُّنيا دارُ فَجائِعَ ، مَنْ عُوجِلَ فيها فُجِعَ بِنَفْسِهِ ، وَمَنْ اُمْهِلَ فيها فُجِعَ بِأحِبَّتِهِ

" Earthly life is an existence of tragedies; he who is being hurried will lose his life, and he who is being delayed will lose his loved ones

لاتَكُونَنَّ مِمَّنْ لاتَنْفَعُهُ المَوْعِظَةُ إلاّ إذا بالَغت في إيلامِهِ ، فَإنَّ العاقِلَ يَتَّعِظُ بِالأدَبِ ، وَ البَهائِمَ لاتَرْتَدِعُ إلاّ بِالضَّرْبِ

" Don’t be like those who heed advice only when it hurts them. Because the prudent learns from advice, while beasts are deterred only by beating

شَيْئانِ لايَعْرِفُ فَضْلَهُما إلاّ مَنْ فَقَدَهُما الشَّبابُ وَالْعافِيَةُ

" Nobody knows the value of these two things until they are gone: youth and health
