Hades II is a wonderful roguelite and is an impressive sequel on almost all fronts compared to the original Hades.

However. Supergiant seems to have sidestepped a major theme of their plot and left the ending somewhat off-topic? Major plot spoilers ahead. obviously.

Throughout the game, Mel encounters mortals, titans and others who have been wronged by the gods. in some cases- in the historical. petty ways that gods are known for. Nemesis as a character brings up that everything that is happening could be construed as rightful vengeance for what the gods have wrought. however.

The plot skews. Mel, after subduing the Titan of Time chronos. begins to contact their brother. Zagreus in the past. and through a series of events. slays Typhon, the titan of time permanently. and bestows Zagreus with the weapon to kill Chronos. Leaving most of the plot threads about the things that the gods- and the fates. have wrought upon everything, being simple sidequests. instead of leaning into the overarching plot. leaving the topic altogether.. waylaid to the side? It makes sense. Prometheus isn't going to stop fighting because Chronos is now happy grandpa. he was TORTURED by the gods for all this time. but we never get a chance to move past that. and perhaps. that is why the ending to the game feels.. slightly empty? to me? completing the final ending and seeking out the fates shows that the fates have essentially left to get milk and never came back. the story seems to wrap itself up VERY quickly. compared to the original Hades where after bringing Persephone back to the house. the epilogue stretches out instead. where you gradually build up the links and knowledge of what's happened before the reunion of the family.

I enjoyed the game. 7.5/10. The story is a massive letdown at the end. however. This is a wonderful roguelite. but it does not hold a candle to the original story of it's predcessor. Hades. which is quite the shame. as every single supergiant game before this has had an amazing story. even the ones that struggled a bit on gameplay had wonderful endings. like Pyre. it's a shame to see them lapse in their greatest strength now.

I will not tell you why. other then that this is a supergiant game.
Play it.

My only gripe. is that in new game plus cutscenes are unskippable.

The next game in the half life franchise. a VR exclusive...

And for a very good damn reason. Half life is all about innovation. and what big innovation did they bring this time? VR. Nearly fully interactable envrioments. and just. a bit. of advancement to the overarching plot.

Play it for yourself if you have the hardware. and if not? Watch a playthrough. though. It won't be the same as standing there. in full attention of him. and the last part won't hit you as hard. but.

It sure does hit hard.

Risk of Rain 2 EA. what can I say? Hoopoo games has a smash ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ success on their hands. the game might not be done but everyone is sure as hell happy with it.

If you wanted more from Risk of Rain. well. here's you're more.

If you were ever interested in Risk of Rain. Go buy it. play it. then maybe try this out if it's your cup of tea.

If you really liked the music in Risk of Rain 1. I dunno. this stuff's pretty different but it's still really good. so. mixed bag. might not be your taste anymore.

All in all. I give this a positive mark. Game has proven that the potential updates it is getting are going to be altogether worth it. with three (don't quote me on that) more characters on the way and a host of new items and levels- and an honest to god ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ROADMAP. which most EA devs tend to ignore entirely in favor of throwing ♥♥♥♥ at the wall and seeing what sticks. that. and a tempered response to player feedback to understand some of the balancing issues in the game.

Do I reccomend buying Risk of Rain 2 at the moment? YES. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ YES. These people have a vision. a good one. they aren't gonna let it go to waste.

I can't reccomend this game enough.

It's an FPS Action game that scares the ♥♥♥♥ out of me while I'm playing. Adredaline pumping and ♥♥♥♥. It's crazy!

AND you can play local split-screen with your friends/family.

AND you can ALSO play ONLINE split screen with your friends/family.

And you can turn off the split-screen in online. or use different screen setups so you can see people dying horribly!

AND Nornware is one of the best Indie devs I've seen, Ever. He's crazy active on the game's fourms and takes so many ideas from people posting them. and actively encourages people reporting his bugs. And other then the couple months of a delay in development due to life issues. Updates are frequent!

's cool. Nice arena shooter with plenty of inspiration.
And it's cheap!

I profited a couple bucks off this game from a drop. Hell yeah! And I got it free!

It's also not a half bad aysmmetrical class based teamgame.
Here's a tip : Jumping on compies kills them!

Get past the inital jumpscares and spook-mongering. and you'll have yourself a great stressful shooter, ammo mannagement and careful shots helping. but can you really do that with the panic induced by the horrid place you've found yourself in?
