As people around the world expressed their outrage against Trump’s spiraling war of aggression — with the Iranian people defiantly rallying on bridges and demonstrations growing inside the U.S and worldwide — the Trump administration was compelled to temporarily step back from its genocidal threats. But the war against the Iranian people needs to end permanently, not just for two weeks!

The details of the ceasefire are still emerging, but Trump is still suggesting he could go back to bombing if he wants. Unless sanctions are lifted and US forces return home, the conditions for war remain. Trump has needlessly killed thousands in his war of choice, caused economic suffering the world over, and he must be held accountable. Join the national day of action on April 8 to say Trump is a war criminal – end the war for good!

On February 28, Donald Trump launched an illegal, unprovoked war on Iran. The US and Israeli militaries have since made over 3,000 strikes across the region, killing more than 1,300 Iranians — at least hundreds of them children — while eight American service members have already died and Trump openly admits many more will follow. Every major war the United States has been forced to end was stopped not by the conscience of politicians but by sustained pressure from ordinary people who refused to accept the killing done in their name, and that pressure must be built now — in our neighborhoods, our workplaces, and our schools — to expose this war for what it is: an illegal act of aggression waged to enrich oil executives and weapons manufacturers while everyday people in the US and across the Middle East pay the price. It’s time to build a massive anti-war movement in the U.S.

Multiple media reports indicate that they are seeking as much as $200 billion. We do not want another cent of our tax money to go towards sustaining this aggression – Congress needs to use its power over the budget to cut off the war machine.
