Each artist was asked to create three tracks, each about a minute long. These could be unreleased demos, sketches, or entirely new pieces made specifically for the compilation. In any case, it was a kind of challenge: to open up and let something unpolished or fragile go into the world — or, conversely, to try capturing a new idea within such a brief format, something fleeting yet especially meaningful to the artist in this very moment.

There’s a special charm in short tracks. They are sketches, drafts, ideas jotted down in haste — fragments of thoughts on a scrap of paper, or even doodles in the margins. In their smallness and roughness, there’s something intimate: the secrecy of diary notes or the sentimentality of trinkets long kept in a drawer. The artist seems unsure whether the music is «mature» enough for a full-length piece — and this modesty is deeply endearing.

The weakness — and at the same time, the hidden strength — of the short format lies in the fact that it can hardly contain anything grand or monumental. That’s precisely where its quiet beauty lies: it’s like picking up a tiny trinket from a box that, for a child, might once have been a real treasure chest.

This collection is an ode to modesty, smallness, playfulness, and lightheartedness. It’s a jewelry box of sonic miniatures — pieces you can hold in your hand, examine closely, and keep coming back to. There’s a particular comfort in this act of attentive listening: when a track «fits in your palm», all anxiety seems to disappear. It doesn’t demand or seize your attention for long — and that’s exactly why it’s so easy to surrender to it.
