lyrics
did some work on myself and i found you
no such thing as an accident - that's true
been away from you four whole days
and i start remembering how bad i need you
been through your share of trauma and that's tough
now i know we can make it through that stuff
wanna be someone you can relate to
still be different people no handcuffs
retrograde in the rearview i feel clean
been a while since i said something i mean
been so long since i felt something this real
we get rewarded for facing our fears
i wanna be who you first met
all of the qualities i showed
... i didn't change life just hits different...
we need the sun and some water to grow
the sky opens up as we drive into nothing
the sky opens up as we drive
lights guide us home
someday we'll see
if you ever got what you wanted from me
or if i turn into a ghost in your home
a pain in your chest when you go through your phone
lord knows
drive into me
and then i can sink into your pedigree
a note on the dash isn't that far from home
the taste on my gums is still guiding it wrong
lord knows
"Why Would I Watch" is an excellent execution of the band's intended theme, nostalgia, while also mixing in themes of dealing with alcoholism and a smoking addiction, dementia in a family member, and religious trauma at the end.
"John 'The Rock' Cena..." has to be the most apt description of religious trauma yet and a hit to my core as someone who deals with it too. vydra-
This EP might be my favorite collection of Hot Mulligan songs yet. Songs like "Featuring Mark Hoppus" are such good songs both Instrumentally and lyrically, yet they are countered by songs like "Don't Cry You Have Swag" that are so slow and beautiful. I can't believe this exist. Beezy⭑
