"LIVE 2" is a newly unearthed recording from a 2017 event hosted by the Golden Cabinet collective. Captured at a community centre in Shipley, a small suburb of Bradford in West Yorkshire, the recording documents PKKT’s second improvised performance.
The set was performed in front of the sound desk, facing the sound system, with the duo utilising a setup built around improvised electronics, extended tape techniques and live processing.
The original 2017 event press release states : “There are foreboding and claustrophobic moments while other passages feel infinitely spacious. Their new live set promises to be “more fluid and a bit like black metal sound design, or something...”

PKKT is the duo of Tom Knapp (SDEM) and Kieron Piercy (Spoils & Relics).
Can’t get enough of this. The beats are just screwed up, and beautiful, and punchy. The pads just fade in and out, going from moments of beautiful, lush melodies, to utterly broken and chopped pieces of sound. This shit is wonderful. stuckinorbit
Blending introspective ambient with shuddering bass drops and hazy synths, the Brooklyn electronic veterans' fifth LP is a majestic triumph. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2026
