What are work item security schemes?

While permission schemes manage who can access a space, work item security schemes let you control who can see specific work items within that space. If someone isn’t assigned to a security scheme, they won’t be able to view those work items, even if they can access the rest of the space.

To view and update work item security schemes:

• users need to have the Set work item security permission. More about work item permissions

• spaces need to have the Work item security field included on their Layout page. Add fields to a layout

Create a new work item security scheme

When you move work from one space to another, the work item will be assigned to the default work item security level in the new space. If that space has no security scheme, this work will be visible to anyone with access to the space.
