Sometimes Gemini Apps show you sources and related content within and below its response.
Sources & related links in Gemini Apps
Gemini Apps may provide links to sources and related content for you to dig deeper. These links may include content that is related to parts of Gemini’s response, including public websites, files you have uploaded, or documents or emails from Google Workspace if you’ve connected to Workspace.
Find sources & related links
When sources are available, you can find the Sources button at the bottom of the response or in-line throughout the response. On the right, a side panel will open with the relevant links.

How Gemini Apps cite direct quotes & code repositoriesIf Gemini Apps directly quotes a large amount of text from a webpage, you’ll see a link to that webpage in the sources list.
For citations to code repositories, the citation may also reference an applicable open source license.
