Find & install apps from Google Play with the Gemini mobile app on Android

You can use the Google Play connected app within the Gemini mobile app on Android to discover, find, and install apps, as well as make in-app purchases. Just ask Gemini, and it’ll use the Google Play connected app to help you.

To connect Google Play to Gemini Apps, you need to:

• Be 18 or over.
• Have the Google Play Store app installed on your Android phone or tablet.
• Sign in to the Gemini mobile app with a personal Google Account.
• Have Keep Activity on. Gemini can’t connect to Google Play when this setting is off.

Important:

• For now, the Google Play connected app is only available in the Gemini mobile app on Android.
• Availability of specific apps and in-app items in Google Play may vary by country, device, or developer, but options will continue to expand over time.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app .
2. Make sure you’re signed in to the same account you use with Google Play.
3. Ask Gemini to find an app from Google Play, like what are some meditation apps?
4. If Google Play isn’t connected, you’ll get the option to connect it.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Tips:

• You can also say 'Hey Google' to ask Gemini to use a connected app. If 'Hey Google' doesn't work, check if 'Hey Google' and Voice Match are set up.
• You can connect or disconnect the Google Play app anytime in your Connected Apps settings.

You can use Gemini to search for a specific app or explore apps from the Google Play Store.

1. On your Android phone or table, open the Gemini mobile app .
2. Ask Gemini to find a specific app or suggest apps on Google Play based on what you need.
3. If Gemini suggests apps on Google Play and you want to explore more, tap View more in Google Play.
4. To install the app:
   1. Tap the app to open its details page.
   2. Tap Install or the purchase price.
