Enhance your listening experience when you watch TV with Google Home Speaker (2026). You can connect one speaker to your Google TV Streamer to replace your TV's existing audio output. Connect two speakers to enjoy stereo sound or immersive Spatial Audio.
Connect your speakers with your Google TV Streamer
Before pairing your speakers, make sure to:
- Set up your Google TV Streamer.
- Set up your Google smart speakers in the Google Home app.
- Confirm that your phone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Sign in to the same Google Account on your devices. Check which Google Account is linked to a speaker or display.
From your Google TV
Google TV Home
- At the top right, click Settings

- Click Remotes & Accessories
Google speakers.
- Choose speakers you want to use with your Google TV and click Next.
Tip: You can choose up to two Google Home Speakers. - Move speakers if they are not already next to your TV
- Place the glowing speaker on the left and click Connect.
- If you have paired with two speakers, there will be an optional step for you to set up spatial audio. Select Continue to proceed with the spatial audio setting.
From your Google Home app
- Open the Google Home app

- A pop-up appears when you open the app. Tap Connect.
- If the pop-up is not there, Tap Home

- If multiple compatible Google TVs are visible to the app, choose the TV that you want to use with your speakers. Then, tap Next.
- If the pop-up is not there, Tap Home
- Tap Use your speakers for TV audio
Connect.
- Select the speakers or stereo pair you want to use, then tap Next.
- Move your speakers next to your TV. Tap Next.
- Wait until the speakers connect to your TV. Once the devices are connected, tap Done to finish setup.
Tip: You can still use your speakers even when the streaming device is off. Just say “Hey Google” followed by your question or command.
If you have two Google Home Speakers, you can pair the speakers for stereo sound.

- Tap Audio output, then select your TV to switch the audio back to it.

If your Google speakers aren't available in your TV's audio output settings, reboot your Google TV Streamer.
Reboot your Google TV Streamer
- Unplug your Google TV Streamer from the power source.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the device back in.
- Wait for the device to restart.
Check if your speakers are available
- Open the Google Home app

- Tap Home

- Tap your TV’s tile

Audio.
- Tap Audio output, then check for an option to use Google speakers.
Get surround sound with Spatial Audio
Spatial audio simulates surround sound when you connect two speakers. It creates the sensation of audio coming from all directions, which differs from traditional stereo’s left and right channels.
What you need
- Google TV Streamer paired with two Google Home Speakers
- Supported media content:
- Spatial audio encoded content
- Supported streaming services (may require premium platform subscription)
Once your speakers are connected to your TV, Google TV will ask if you want to set up Spatial Audio.
- If you want to continue with Spatial Audio set up, tap Continue.
- The app will then ask you for:
- Your approximate viewing distance from the TV
- The approximate distance between your speakers.
- Tap Done when you complete the distance configuration.
Control your media with your voice
Use your voice to control your TV. Quickly find what you want to watch and adjust the volume with a voice command to your TV or paired speaker.
Google Home Speaker: Say “Hey Google,” then your command.
Google TV Streamer: Press the mic button on the remote, then say your command.
