Do you love the smell of an old book, the thrill of turning the final page and the joy of discussing a story that stayed with you? Then you’ve found your hive!
This is a free online book club with a fun twist - leaving books for people to find and enjoy!
We started this club with a simple idea: a collective love for reading and a desire to share stories, swap recommendations and connect with fellow bookworms. We also loved the idea of people finding our books; continuing to swap and pass them on…seeing how far our books might travel!
Our friendly mascot and logo, Alan the Bee, is at the heart of everything we do!
Leave a Review: Once we’ve read the book we leave a review on the Facebook group – sparking friendly discussions with others!
The Sticker Initiative: We then place a special ’Alan’ sticker inside. (These are available for anyone to print and use too!)
Leaving a Trail: We then intentionally leave these stickered books out in the wild for new readers to find! You might spot one of Alan’s books in places like:

- Charity shops
- Trendy phone box book exchanges
- Waiting rooms and community centres!
We believe a great story deserves to be found, and every stickered book is a little piece of our shared journey waiting to start its next chapter.
Whether you devour a book in a week or take your time enjoying every chapter, you are welcome here! We simply ask that you bring your enthusiasm, your favourite book recommendations and your willingness to chat about plots, characters, and ideas.
