Hi, we’re Lara and Nadia – Co-Founders of The Admin Hive!

We met whilst working in education and instantly clicked. The friendship grew when we discovered a similar dark sense of humour and an obsession with books, especially psychological thrillers! 

During our little lunch break escapes (in the car – yes, these became a thing!), we realised we had both explored the idea of becoming a Virtual Admin Assistant. However, we had never taken the leap due to the fear of starting a business on our own. Within days we had picked a company name, bought the domain and paid for a website to be built – it snowballed from there! 

We spent a year as a Virtual Assistant duo, gaining valuable experience and knowledge of how the VA industry worked. However, our ultimate goal was always to create a VA Agency. We had both faced the common struggle of being parents that were trying to juggle school aged children and careers. Our shared vision was not only to run our own business that gave us more freedom to be available for our children, but to create opportunities for other parents to do the same.

Together, we have over 40 years combined experience within admin from a variety of fields. Being perfectionists ourselves, we know what we want for our clients. We set high expectations and expect the best from our Associates. Our extensive knowledge and experience also means we know what we are looking for in a VA when they join our team. We know how scary it is wanting to venture out on your own and trying to find something that fits around childcare. That’s why we champion parents who are looking for flexible working patterns to join our VA team – we want people to feel part of The Hive.

About Us

At The Admin Hive, everything we do is built upon our three core values; Trust, Freedom, and Fun – for our clients, our associates, and us! 

We want all Hive clients to know that they can trust us and their VA – trust them to get the job done, and trust they will do it with as much care as they would if it was their own business – because your business IS our business. We also want all our Associates to trust that we have their backs! That we will always be on hand to support them, assist them and help them to thrive as VA’s.

We want our clients to gain some of their freedom back! You didn’t start a business to be too overwhelmed by admin to actually grow it! You started to provide a product or service that you’re passionate about, and reach as many people as possible to share it with. We want to give you your time and energy back so you’re free to do just that! And for our associates, we want to give them the freedom to be there for the moments in their own lives that matter most (and the ones that only they can do!), whilst still being able to pursue a career and build something for themselves outside of the home maker role, that gives them a different sense of pride and fulfilment. 

And finally, we want to make sure that everyone who is a part of The Admin Hive, clients and associates alike, are having a good time! For our clients, we want them to be able to fire off an email to their VA or jump on a video call, and know they can relax and talk to them as themselves. Whether they’re excited at a win, or frustrated at a struggle – they can be real and authentic. We aren’t here to bring corporate vibes, judge people on how smart their suits are or how aesthetic their video call background is. We want people to be treated with, and treat others with, respect for the value they bring in the area that matters – the standard of their work! And we KNOW that VA’s can do that in hoodies and trainers from their kitchen table.
