Unwatched on iPhone is pretty good, give it a look if you want a native app that isn’t the official one. Although I also vouch for Wipr2 as well. Stumbled on both as recommendations on here over the past 6 or so months.

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Sodium-ion EV battery breakthrough delivers 11-min charging and 450 km range
3·25 days agoThat’s such a shame to hear, thanks so much for the detailed response though. I really want to make the jump to full EV but keep getting put off by stories like this, was hoping things had improved by now!
A neighbour down the road has 2 Polestars, & I’ve seen the large on-site repair truck out a few times in a few months, plus a flat bad carrying one or the other a way at least twice now. Have been meaning to go chat to them, but worried I’ll just hear a list of complaints…
Real sad to hear about the Honda, was hoping the traditional manufacturers might have started to catch up, but it sounds like they may have a way to go if others have gone a similar route.
Cheers again for the reply, very insightful!

7·25 days agoSlightly off topic. How’d you rate each of the 3 cars you mention owning. Very interested how the Polestar & Honda compare for day to day use, comfort, reliability, customer support etc.
Good effort! Hopefully some of the local kids got to enjoy the swings after your heroics each day, & that the council/city eventually put them back after restrictions loosened again.

Hah, not found them yet! Tided up before Xmas & no idea where it was put. Now I’m thinking I should order more to be on the safe side & make sure they are sticky this time!
Hmm, goes off to check an unopened box of these I got a while back…

2·4 months ago£10 more for no cap by the looks of it, & I have been recommended a&a by a mate before, but I’ve used Zen at multiple addresses in the past & they have always been fantastic both in service & their support (but it’s been a couple of years now, hopefully they are still as good).
I have not come across 2 & 3. Very interested in Typst after a quick look…

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's an artificial limitation you put on yourself that has improved your personal life?
2·5 months agoThese are some really solid rules to live by. I think I already do a couple of them in a round about way. But it’s nice seeing them listed out so clearly, & additional ones I should consider using.
I hope on your down days you can remind yourself there are others that value you in some way, even if it’s an Internet stranger appreciating a post like this. Thanks!!

3·5 months agoDoes it not get in the way or wake you up when you sleep?
I’ve gone the opposite way the past year or so, after finally adding a card to my mobile, which I was reluctant to do for years, I barely need to take my wallet out with me these days! It’s amazing having a whole free pocket that for most of my life had a chunky wallet in.

8·5 months agoMines similar, at least 20 mins walk (or slow jog/cycle if I’m feeling energetic) per day every day, but usually end up doing 45mins+ which is about 2.5-3miles. Managed to keep that up for 2 years straight now, even when ill (just about).
I have M.E/CFS & it took a good 5+ years to build up to that, symptoms are thankfully fairly mild these days, I think partly because of the daily activity, however slow I feel I need to go.
Plus also now make sure I hit 10k plus steps daily this year which has helped keep me motivated to go further on days I might have kept it to only 20 mins.
As well as helping keep a baseline of fitness it’s done wonders for my general mood & mental health overall, seem to be far more stable across the board, & I feel being out even briefly is a big part of that.

5·5 months agoI grew up with home made jam from my Nan when she was still here, & then my mum. Mould on the top of a jar of jam that had already been open a while was fairly common back then. You’d just scoop it off & go about your day.
However this is shop bought jam, & as long as it was recently purchased, or even if it was sealed & within date but not recently purchased I’d still complain to the shop or manufacturer, as I’d expect better from commercially made produce.
