It’s not even reclamation. It’s literally just using the word for its primary definition:
Morally corrupt or given to vice.

The fingerprint is already pretty effective. Putting something like 01/01/1970 would add a small amount of precision, but likely not enough to make a difference.
I know a fairly large number of amazing people who use the word degenerate somewhat frequently. That said, they are all definitely degenerates and proud of it.

It seems like the criteria for making it on there is fairly lax. Nextcloud makes a list by simply having an AI assistant as an optional (user-facing) feature, while none of the actual code appears to be AI-generated.
Maybe the budget was planned out before RAM prices spiked. 128 gigs of used server RAM was not that expensive before that happened.
People who don’t know how to use a manual transmission.

Hasn’t Apple been soldering everything to the motherboard for ages now?
My argument: When I can get a decent used EV for $5k, I’ll do it. Until then, I’ll just get a decent used ICE car for $5K.

Unfortunately, I’m not surprised in the least.
During his first term, he wasn’t nearly as unhinged as he was during this term, because he was still building his cult, which he continued doing after he lost the 2020 election. With the 2024 election, virtually everything lined up in his favor. The Democratic candidate was somebody who had not even been in the primaries, the size of his cult was at an all-time high, and the political division was even further increased from 2016. Even with all that in his favor, he still didn’t show his most unhinged ideas until after the election.
Anybody with a reasonable amount of intelligence would obviously have voted against him, but forward thinking doesn’t seem to be a common trait these days.

It’d be interesting to see the cost efficiency of that versus traditional wind turbines over the expected lifespan of both.
Used EVs with an effective range of more than 50 miles are already massively expensive.
