In June, you'll remember that Anne Hathaway unveiled her pregnancy with a sweet Instagram post.
At 43, this is Anne's third pregnancy with her husband, Adam Shulman. They also share two sons.
The pregnancy reveal came as quite a surprise, as her bump had gone completely undetected during the global press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2, which hit theaters in May.
And if anyone thought she was going to be resting up for the remainder of 2026, then they'd have been very, very wrong.
This year, Anne has been booked and BUSY, promoting a total of FIVE movies. We first had Mother Mary, which came out around the same time as The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Then, The Odyssey, which hit theaters in July.
And then she went straight into promoting The End of Oak Street in August.
As you probably know, each project comes with its own interviews, video shoots, red-carpet events, and junkets. This looks like a lot of fun from the outside, but it can be very tiring for the celebs and their teams as they manage busy schedules.
Now, if you can believe it, Anne is back on the circuit once more as she promotes her fifth and final movie of the year, Verity, which is the upcoming movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover's book of the same name.
On the Verity press tour, Anne's monumental movie run has been a major topic of conversation. And in an interview with Entertainment Tonight last week, she assured fans that she'll be taking "a little break" before moving on to her next project, Days of Thunder 2, which she and Tom Cruise announced in August.
"[Verity] comes out October 2nd, and October 3rd, I'm going to vanish into a plume of smoke, and you're not going to see me until you have to," she said. "I'm definitely gonna disappear and take some time off. But then I'm joining Tom on the track in March."
And as she nears the end of a very busy year as a heavily pregnant woman, she's requesting that people refrain from showering her with too much praise for working through her pregnancy.
"Let's not overpraise the pampered actress. There's a lot of pregnant women out there at home and in the workplace who, you know, didn't get a manicure this morning," she said in an interview with AP Entertainment. "I'm very happy to do my job. I have so much support."
Anne's Verity costar, Josh Hartnett, then referenced a recent article by the Onion, which joked that the US economy is "becoming overly dependent" on Anne's "unsustainable" run of theatrical releases. "I'm with the Onion," he quipped, prompting Anne to crack up. (The fact that she's seen it is SO funny.)
"Don't worry," she replied, laughing. "I'm going to rest pretty soon."
"Been waiting for a celebrity to answer a question like this," another user said. "Honestly idc if it’s PR or not, it’s something that needs to be said. Great response!"
Notably, a number of currently pregnant people felt especially seen by Anne's response. "I’m a pregnant elementary school teacher, and I appreciate this so much," one user wrote, a sentiment echoed by another who said, "As someone 8.5 months pregnant struggling through my workday, I appreciate this."
