About Alissa

I'm a Spanish major at ASU with over 8 years of experience working with Spanish students of all ages in dual-immersion and AP Spanish programs. I work as a substitute teacher and also have past experience work as support in junior high dual-immersion and AP Spanish classes. While I'm not a native speaker, I see that as a strength--I've been in my students' shoes and know how to explain Spanish in clear, practical ways that actually make it stick. I also lived in Spain for a year and a half, giving me real-world experience with different accents, vocabulary, and cultural differences. I'm passionate about helping students gain confidence, improve quickly, and enjoy learning Spanish.
