About Aminah

Learning should be an exciting journey! I'm passionate about creating an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment where students thrive. I have a B. S in Kinesiology from Texas Woman's and experience tutoring elementary and middle school students in subjects like Math, English and History. I previously served as a summer camp counselor gaining experience with students ranging from ages 5-17 years old. I strive to help students build confidence and foster a love for learning new things. I actively listen and observe students, encouraging open communication to adapt my teaching methods to their individual learning styles. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrate small successes, and provide consistent positive reinforcement to keep students motivated. Communication is essential so I'll provide regular updates to parents. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding part of being a tutor.
