About Claire

I am an experienced teacher with a passion for helping kids grow! I have taught elementary literacy for the past five years, but am certified for all elementary subjects, K-6, and am open to helping with any area your child needs. I earned a Masters of Reading Education from Appalachian State, where I learned to help kids with all kinds of reading difficulties. I've worked many kids who have IEPs, 504 plans, and language needs. My favorite part of my job is the relationships I build with my students. I hold a strong belief that kids will learn the most when they feel cared for, and this is how I approach my teaching. I have tons of availability throughout the summer and can continue once the school year starts as well!
