About Courtney

I am a certified elementary teacher with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and four years of classroom teaching experience. I specialize in helping elementary students strengthen their reading, writing, math, and study skills through personalized one-on-one instruction. I am also trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to support students in building strong literacy foundations. I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each student's strengths, needs, and interests using engaging strategies, visual supports, and hands-on activities. In addition to traditional tutoring, I provide personalized academic support for students who may benefit from flexible learning outside the traditional classroom, including homeschooled students, students temporarily unable to attend school, or those who thrive with individualized instruction. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and develop a positive mindset toward learning.
