About Joanne

For over 19 years, I've been helping students unlock their full potential. My graduate degree and certified teacher status, combined with experience in special education, allow me to support a wide range of learning needs in subjects like math, English, business, computers, and test preparation. I create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment, empowering students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I actively listen and observe to understand each student's individual learning style. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to real-world examples and breaking down complex problems. Communication is key, and I strive to build trust with both students and parents. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding part of my work. I am CPR and First Aid trained. I am comfortable tutoring at a student's home, a center, or online.
