About Kristin

I enjoy working with kids because they bring out the best traits in me, and every day with them is an exciting new adventure. I started working with kids when I was 13 and began babysitting for a few families. After that I worked for a few years at the YMCA Kids Zone, as well as at the Center for Young Children in Indianapolis. I currently work at the YMCA Kids Zone once again, and have been working there for almost a year and a half. This job has brought me so much joy, and I have formed such special connections with all of the kids there! In my spare time, I like to do a wide variety of things, such as taking my dog for walks, hanging out with friends, readings books, working on puzzles, and binging TV shows with my mom. My top three child care skills are that I treat children with respect and don't undermine their feelings, I am easygoing and therefore do not lose my patience quickly, and I am an effective communicator with both children and their parents.
