About Laurel

I am a career Nanny with 20+ years of experience. I studied Fine Art and Early Childhood Education in college. I believe in the evidence based philosophy that children are whole humans deserving of respect and kindness, meeting them where they are acknowledging their development in all situations. Example: I don't expect dis-regulated kids to respond to requests, comprehend logic, or feel empathy. They need help in regulating themselves by being a calm safe space while they feel their emotions. Before they are able to cooperate and communicate in a kind way. I enjoying doing outdoor play, outings such as local parks and the library, educational activities, and crafts. I also have my own vehicle with 2 convertible car seats already installed. I spend my spare time with my own kids and working on our property building a food forest.
