About Melissa

Hello! My name is Melissa, and I have a genuine passion for working with children of all ages. I bring over 10 years of experience in the childcare field, serving in a variety of roles that have strengthened my leadership, adaptability, and commitment to child development. Before becoming a Lead Teacher, I was a full-time nanny for a high-functioning autistic child and their infant sibling for one year providing assistance in household routines. I then worked as a full-time nanny for a child with behavioral challenges, supporting emotional regulation and educational growth. I also worked in a childcare center in Grand Rapids for nearly two years expanding my classroom experience. I am currently a Lead Teacher at Sowing Seeds Childcare Center for Young Preschool and am working toward earning my CDA credential. Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors, photography, road trips, and time with family and friends. I am also a Christian, and my faith is important in my personal life!
