About Monica

Hello, my name is Monica. I have over 20 years of experience working with children-from as young as 2 weeks old up to 11 years. My background includes working as a Spanish teacher in schools, as a tutor, and as a nanny, including experience with nanny share arrangements. I have completed studies in Early Child Development and am certified in First Aid and CPR. I am up to date on all vaccinations, have a clean driving record, and have my own reliable transportation. I take a very engaging and educational approach to childcare, introducing Spanish from the beginning. I enjoy creating activity-based curricula tailored to each child's developmental stage-whether infant, toddler, or preschooler-using available resources to make learning a hands on and meaningful experience. I love outdoor time. I'm available to begin on July 1, 2026, seeking a part-time position (30 hrs a week) caring for one child, preferably infants in the Alameda, Piedmont, Rockridge, Oakland hills.
