About Ruby

My journey into senior care began when I was 17, working with a woman in my community who needed companionship and assistance. This job presented challenges I hadn't anticipated, requiring me to grow mentally and emotionally to cope with the nonsensical conversations and heartbreaking moments. My primary focus was on dementia patients who needed additional guidance and care. My responsibilities included housekeeping, medication administration, meal preparation, bathing and changing, and attending medical appointments. While not an easy job, I found immense joy in being a part of the care that seniors receive. I believe many seniors are overlooked, and the opportunity to provide the care they deserve during their transition to the next chapter has inspired me to pursue a career in nursing.
