The MACBA plaza is not just a spot; it’s a legendary landmark in skateboarding history. Some of the most famous skaters in the world have left their mark here, turning it into a global hub for creativity and progression. If this space is destroyed, a significant part of skateboarding history will disappear with it, leaving a void that can never be replaced. 

MACBA is also a place where neighbors come together and coexist with skaters, artists and other people from the neighborhood as well as merchants and bars. The skaters also make MACBA a safe place and keep the bad people and thieves out of here. 

The skaters contribute to the life and daily economic activity of the neighborhood commerce since the square is visited daily by local skaters from the neighborhood, from the city and from other parts of the world. 
With an open trade to a young public, it offers an alternative to the commercial monoculture of housing stores, telephone, etc.. that the rest of the neighborhood suffers.
