Aurora Australis gave a spectacular light show over Tasmania overnight on October 4. Stargazers flocked to areas around Tasmania, including Hobart, to see the southern aurora which is seasonally visible at high latitudes in the south of Australia as well as Antarctica, South America, and New Zealand.
