The historical Riviera Hotel and Casino was demolished early Tuesday morning, June 14. A crowd gathered outside the casino, which opened in 1955, and cheered as fireworks exploded above the 24-story building, followed by the implosion. Las Vegas showgirls, dancers and live music were part of demolition festivities.
