Indian villagers risk their lives by walking on rope above river to reach farmland

Villagers in Dewas District, Madhya Pradesh risk their lives every day to reach their farmland.

In the absence of a bridge or a road, villagers have tied a rope to banks of both sides of the river.

Footage shows a woman and a man walking on the rope above a river on July 13.

Local authorities have received several complaints but no solution has been put in place, villagers say.
