Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali failed to defend the Gombak parliamentary seat in the 15th general election (GE15) after losing to Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

The Selangor Mentri Besar garnered a 12,729-vote majority over his predecessor.
