U.S. maternal death rate continues to rise

The maternal death rate in America continues to get worse. In 2019, there were 20 maternal deaths per 100,000 births. Recent CDC data shows that in 2020, the number rose to 24 deaths per 100,000 births. New research sheds light on the depth of the problem.
