00:00 Good morning, the new week has started again and the time is now, today is Monday, October 23, 2023.

00:09 We can see in our latest satellite images, the effect of the shear line is still continuing.

00:14 This is the effect of the hot and cold wind where the clouds are forming.

00:19 And this will bring cloudy skies with particular rainfalls in a large part of Southern Luzon, Central Luzon,

00:27 and also in Manila.

00:30 Meanwhile, the North-East Monsoon, or the so-called "Hanging Amihan",

00:34 is the one that is affecting Northern Luzon.

00:36 This will bring light rain, possibly in the area of Cagayan Valley,

00:41 while isolated light rains or light rainfalls will be experienced in Ilocos Region.

00:46 Localized thunderstorms will be experienced particularly in Mimaropa, Visayas, and Mindanao.

00:53 For now, based on the data we have, we are not yet being monitored or seeing any low-pressure areas

01:01 that could possibly bring a storm, at least for this week.

01:03 Possibly, until the end of this week, the chance of a storm is still small.

01:10 Even if there is a change, the weather forecast will give an update.

01:14 So, this large part of Visayas and Mindanao, generally, will experience fair weather.

01:18 But isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are still possible,

01:23 so we still have a chance of rain in the afternoon and night in this part of the country.

01:28 If we go to Luzon, we can see that the chance of rain is high in the Bicol Region,

01:34 along with the area of Calabarzon and Central Luzon, and the part of Manila.

01:41 So, the sky is still cloudy today.

01:44 While it is still possible to experience rain in the Isabela Region,

01:48 along with Nueva Vizcaya and the Quirino Region.

01:51 Meanwhile, there is a possibility of experiencing low-pressure rain in the Kagayan Valley Region,

01:57 while isolated or low-pressure rain showers will be experienced in the Ilocos Region,

02:03 and in the remaining part of Luzon, Mimaropa, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced.

02:09 If you notice, there are no isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the northern part of Luzon,

02:14 because that is the area of the Hanging Amihan.

02:17 We call it stratified, meaning the clouds are thin, so there are no thunderstorms.

02:23 That is the usual characteristic, especially when we enter the Amihan season.

02:28 The isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are reduced, especially in the afternoon and night,

02:33 but it is possible that there will be low-pressure rain showers, especially in the morning.

02:37 The temperature inside the region is 24 to 32 degrees, in Baguio, 16 to 23 degrees,

02:42 in Garrault, 24 to 30 degrees, in Camanilan, up to 30 degrees Celsius,

02:46 in Tagaytay, 21 to 28 degrees Celsius, while in Legazpa, 24 to 32 degrees,

02:51 in Calayaan Islands, 26 to 32 degrees Celsius, in Puerto Princesa, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:58 Localist thunderstorms will continue to be experienced in the Kabisayaan Region,

03:04 and the average temperature in Iloilo is 27 to 32 degrees Celsius,

03:08 in Cebu, 25 to 32, while in Tacloban, 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:13 A large part of Mindanao is also possible to experience isolated or dry rains,

03:19 which have to do with lightning and thunder, just like the localized thunderstorms.

03:23 The average temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius,

03:27 in Cagandeoro, 24 to 32, while in Davao, up to 33 degrees Celsius.

03:33 We still don't have a high-level gale warning,

03:36 and we're still expecting a mild to moderate sea level rise,

03:41 particularly in a large part of our country.

03:43 But here in the northern part of the country, it's possible that the sea will suddenly rise,

03:48 so be careful.

03:49 The effects of the strong winds could make the sea rise in the Ilocos Region and Cagayan Valley Region.

03:59 Meanwhile, we're expecting that the weather will change in the next few days.

04:03 We can notice that in the north, the sky is still cloudy tomorrow,

04:07 but a large part of our country will experience generally fair weather in the next few days.

04:13 We're expecting that the wind will reach the southern part of the Luzon Region.

04:18 You can also notice that in Legazpi, you can experience isolated light rains.

04:23 The temperature in Manila in the next three days will rise from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius,

04:29 in Baguio, from 16 to 23,

04:31 in Legazpi, it's 23 to 32,

04:34 in Metro Cebu, it's 26 to 33 degrees Celsius,

04:37 while in Metro Davao, 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
