Robert Jenrick says he is "not Interested" running for Tory leadership. The former immigration minister spoke about how he wanted the Conservative Party to win the next general election and says he wants the party to make good on their manifesto.

00:05 Tory party is in deep trouble. It has been a shambolic period of time and

00:10 actually this is also about your own ambition for the future. If this all

00:14 collapses into a contest, would you rule out running for the

00:16 leadership? I am not interested in that. I am solely interested in this

00:20 policy. I want the Conservative Party to win the next general election. I

00:24 want it to make good on its manifesto commitments. I think there

00:26 is a way to do that. We will be in an immeasurably stronger position at

00:31 the next general election if we have kept our faith with the British

00:33 public, we stop the boats and we are meeting our manifesto commitment

00:37 on net migration. If you are not, you have written this week the

00:40 electoral fortunes of the Tory party at stake. If Rishi Sunak cannot get

00:44 these plans through Parliament, he cannot toughen them up as you wish,

00:48 you cannot start to see numbers coming down and stop the boats, do the

00:51 Tories have a chance of winning the election when you are this divided?

00:54 I have been very clear that the fortunes of the party hinge in good

00:59 measure on sorting out this issue.
