As ever it has been a busy week in the city of bristol from the launch of a new Dr Who museum to updates on Barton house. But what are the top news stories?

00:00 Hello, I am here with Charlie who is a digital reporter from Bristol World and we are going

00:07 to be discussing the top five news stories in Bristol this week. So Charlie, can you

00:12 tell us what is our first top story in the week?

00:16 I can. So our top story this week is that a giant sea dragon fossil, estimated to be

00:22 119 million years old, has gone back on display at Bristol Museum. So this is a huge skull

00:30 of a type of sea creature that lived all those years ago.

00:34 Thank you Charlie. So shall we move on to our second top story in the city this week?

00:39 Tell me a little bit about that.

00:42 So our second top story is that one of Bristol's most iconic pubs, built in the 1960s, is reopening

00:49 next month after a major refurbishment project by its new owners. So it's the Coliseum in

00:56 Redcliffe.

00:57 Ah, that's an exciting one for the city for this year. So let's move on to our third top

01:04 story in the city this week. Tell me a little bit about that.

01:08 I can. So some more exciting news is that the award-winning Bristol street food business

01:14 Eat You is opening a new restaurant and takeaway in the city. So many people will know that

01:20 Eat You started life as a street food stall in 2016.

01:25 So our next story is about the clean air zone. And that's because a year on, a new report

01:31 has been published which has evaluated the success of the Bristol City Council scheme.

01:37 So it's found that air pollution levels have fallen on average across the city by 10%,

01:43 with some areas falling by as much as 20%. But there are a few parts of the city that

01:48 have got worse. In fact, Blackboy Hill, at the top of White Ladies Road near the Downs,

01:55 saw a whopping increase of 42%.

01:58 Well that will be an interesting one to measure over time. So shall we move on to our fifth

02:04 and final top story in the city this week? Tell me about that.

02:09 So our final story, another ongoing one, is about Barton House. And it has been revealed

02:15 that the cost of the Barton House evacuation has now risen to a staggering £5.3 million.

02:24 So a top Bristol City Council officer has approved additional spending to extend the

02:30 contract with the Holiday Inn. This is the city centre hotel where most Barton House

02:36 residents have been staying since they were told to leave their homes on November the

02:41 14th. So yes, the cost has gone up again, but hopefully the residents will be able to

02:48 return to their homes.

02:50 We will see how things turn out for that this year. So that is everybody up to date with
