Sheffield Hatters basketball team urge young people to get their HPV vaccine to prevent cervical cancer, which kills 2 women every day.

Sheffield Hatters basketball team have paired up with Cavendish Cancer Care to urge young people to get vaccinated against HPV, which reduces the chance of cervical cancer by 88 per cent.

00:07 We're specifically using the Hatters for this campaign because they've got a good reach among the younger women in the city.

00:13 When I was back at school when I was younger I had the HPV jab, it was absolutely fine.

00:18 I've now had a smear test, again there's nothing to be embarrassed about, but it means I'm now 88% less likely to get cervical cancer.

00:26 Going for your cervical screening is super important because it can help prevent cervical cancer, HPV and other cell changing symptoms.

00:36 Whether you get out of school or you can go for your screening, you can book months in advance as well so there's no excuse, get your screening.
