00:00 So let me let me back up like as the law is important here.

00:07 They've been charged under the state racketeering law, the state gang law,

00:15 and the state gang law has it's like a three legged stool.

00:19 You've got to prove three things at once.

00:22 Like you have to prove that the group that you're looking at is a criminal gang,

00:28 like whatever YSL is, that they have to prove that it's more than just a music label,

00:34 but a group of people who are engaged in crime for their for their in their collective benefit.

00:41 You also have to prove that whoever is that you're charging with this is actually a member of this gang.

00:49 And you have to prove that whatever crime that you're under,

00:54 the underlying crime that you're being charged with was a gang crime,

00:59 that it was a crime done like because the gang wanted it done because it would have benefited the gang.

01:04 Correct. Like the like you knock any one of those down and the and the none of the charges,

01:11 the gang charges stick.

01:13 If you stick the gang charge, it's five to 15 extra years.

01:17 But you have to prove all of this stuff.

01:20 And so you've got to sit there and go, all right, well, what's a street gang?

01:24 Well, a street gang is like a group of people that can identify themselves by these symbols of these behaviors

01:31 and these activities, and this is what they look at.

01:35 And so these lyrics are there in order to show that this group, like these are the symbols of this group.

01:43 And they're talking about them in public, like they're flagging, essentially, in order to say, look, hey, we're we're YSL.

01:50 This is what we this is who we are, like bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.

01:54 And so like when you pull a song like Ski, they're going to sit there in front of the jury and go,

02:02 he's talking about this thing and it means this thing.

02:04 He's talking about this thing and it means this thing.

02:06 And he's talked about it over here and he's talked about it over here.

02:09 And they showed up on social media over here and like in our wire taps over here and all the rest of it.
