00:15A big proportion of mineral inputs are for lithium-ion batteries, which typically include

00:20graphite, nickel, manganese, lithium and cobalt.

00:28Though the quantity and make-up may differ depending on the battery type, EV motors are

00:33responsible for converting electrical energy into mechanical energy to drive the vehicle.

00:39It requires many rare-earth elements as input, including neodymium, terbium, dysprosium and

00:48praseodymium.

00:51Many of the electrical wiring used inside the battery and motor require a large amount

00:55of copper.
