'Butchoy' now outside PAR; 'Carina' maintains strength

00:00So, we are monitoring two typhoons, Tropical Depression Bochoy and Carina.

00:06Last night, this became a typhoon and we issued a bulletin at 11 o'clock last night.

00:15At the moment, you read it correctly, T.D. Bochoy is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:24Last night, Iba-Zambales had a 545-kilometer storm.

00:29It had a strong 55-kilometer-per-hour wind in the middle and a gust of 70-kilometer-per-hour.

00:39It was expected to have a 10-kilometer-per-hour eastern storm.

00:47Meanwhile, Carina is still inside.

00:51It is also in the Tropical Depression intensity, like Bochoy.

00:55And this is the last night, 510-kilometer-eastern storm of Virac-Catanduanes.

01:03It had a strong 55-kilometer-per-hour wind in the middle and a gust of 70-kilometer-per-hour.

01:13It is expected to have a gust of 30-kilometer-per-hour.

01:22So this will be our scenario for respective tropical depressions.

01:28So as I mentioned, at 9 o'clock this morning, the Philippine Area of Responsibility issued the Bochoy storm.

01:38It is expected to move west-north-westward at a speed of 10-kilometer-per-hour.

01:46And it is expected that while the sea along the coast of our country is being washed away,

01:52it will become a tropical storm until it landfalls in Hainan, China.

01:58But there is no more risk in our country.

02:02So what we expect is that the effect of this is indirectly the change of tides here in the northern part of Luzon.

02:16The next storm is the recent storm that is still inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

02:24It is expected that at 500 kilometers, there will be a light aurora tomorrow morning.

02:32And at 410 kilometers, there will be a light aparica next Monday morning.

02:42And on Tuesday morning, it is expected that at 305 kilometers, it will be Basco Batanes.

02:49It is also expected that the recent storm will be a tropical storm within 12 to 24 hours.

02:58It is expected that the Philippine Area of Responsibility will issue the so-called storm by Wednesday morning.

03:07The current storm is expected to move generally northwest while it will slowly move to the south.

03:17And it will continue to move to the south starting Monday.

03:24And it will be fast and will move to the south until it reaches the boundary of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

03:35And as I mentioned, on Wednesday morning, the Philippine Area of Responsibility will issue the storm.

03:42It is expected to be strong within 24 hours into a tropical storm.

03:47And it is also expected that it will be a typhoon on Monday night.

03:55What do we expect when it comes to rain?

03:59The Philippine Area of Responsibility storm has no direct effect on the country.

04:05And we do not expect that the current storm will have a direct effect in the next two days.

04:13But we expect that there will be enhancements to the southwest monsoon, especially the current storm by Monday.

04:24And we expect that there will be minor enhancements to the northern part of the monsoon.

04:36We issued an advisory.

04:42Today, because of the storm, the storm will give moderate to sometimes severe rainfall in the Kalayaan Islands.

04:51And tomorrow, in Zambales, Bataan, and Kalayaan Islands.

04:56Butchoy's storm will be different.

04:59Meanwhile, the current storm, while it is getting stronger and moving to the east coast of our country,

05:07the storm will also be different in the places I mentioned.

05:12On Monday, we expect moderate to sometimes severe rainfall in Metro Manila,

05:20Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, Cavite, Occidental, Mindoro, and Northern Palawan.

05:31So here in the places I mentioned, we expect the possibility of flash floods and landslides,

05:37especially if there is moderate to sometimes severe rainfall.

05:43Meanwhile, when it comes to the wind,

05:47until tomorrow, there will be winds in the Kalayaan Islands.

05:54Meanwhile, on Monday, there will also be winds in Calabar Zone,

05:59Memaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, and Metro Manila.

06:06We expect that the flash floods will have a direct effect on Monday.

06:14We expect that the warning signal will be raised, number one,

06:19here in the eastern portion of Northern Luzon and Extreme Northern Luzon,

06:25from early Sunday evening until early morning on Monday.

06:32As for the sea condition, it is still in the moderate to rough seas.

06:37Our fellow fishermen are allowed to go fishing,
