00:36great year for Ollie, Cassie, and Wing. They'd escaped from becoming Thanksgiving
00:42dinner on the farm and were enjoying life on the loose. During the winter, they
00:51skied on Mount Baldy.
00:56In the spring, they played baseball with the turkey legs.
01:04When summer arrived, they hung three in Hawaii.
01:12Now it was autumn again, just a few days before Thanksgiving. While the turkeys
01:19were busy jumping into a pile of leaves, a crow dropped a note on Cassie's hat.
01:24Read this, she squawked as she flew away.
01:31Oh no, Wing shouted. It's the sheriff. He must have heard that we escaped and now
01:39he's coming to throw us in jail. What does it say, Ollie asked. It's not from
01:46the sheriff. It's from Pete the Chicken, Cassie said as she read the note.
01:52Dear Ollie, Cassie, and Wing, help! There's a fox prowling around the chicken coop.
02:00You were smart enough to escape once and now we really need you. Your pal, Pete the Chicken.
02:06Wait a minute, Wing yelled. What if Farmer Joe catches us?
02:14Remember last Thanksgiving? I don't want to get eaten. Wing makes a good point,
02:21Ollie said, nodding. Cassie jumped up and down. Don't you understand, she said.
02:29Our friends are in danger. We've got to do something.
02:36You're right, Wing said. Let's go. They skipped. They ran. They gobbled.
02:44Finally, they arrived at the wooden fence surrounding the farm.
02:48Hey, there's Pete the Chicken, Ollie called out.
02:56Psst, Pete. Pete raced over. You sure got here fast.
03:01Now put these on so Farmer Joe won't spot you, he said.
03:06We'll meet you behind the chicken coop in a few minutes, Cassie added.
03:11When Pete left, Ollie jumped on top of Cassie, who jumped on top of Wing.
03:16After a few clumsy attempts, they put on Farmer Joe's clothing.
03:21Wing wobbled over to the farm's entrance.
03:25Howdy, a friendly voice called out. You must be one of the new workers.
03:33Ollie said nothing. My name is Hank, the farmhand said.
03:39What's yours? Again, silence.
03:42Say something, whispered Cassie. Gobble, Ollie finally said.
03:48Gabby, Hank said. For someone named Gabby, you don't talk too much.
03:54What kind of work do you do? Gobble, Ollie repeated.
03:59You cobble, Hank said, scratching his head. Oh, you're a cobbler.
04:06Well, we don't have many shoes that need fixing around here,
04:10but there must be some other kind of work you can do.
04:13I'll tell Farmer Kate you're here.
04:18As soon as Hank left, the three turkeys shed Farmer Joe's clothing and raced to
04:24the back of the chicken coop. There, waiting for them, was Pete the chicken.
04:28The fox is about to pounce, Pete warned. You've got to move fast.
04:34I've got it, yelled Cassie. Here's the plan,
04:42she whispered her idea to Ollie and Wing. Okay, let's go.
04:47Just as the fox was about to enter the chicken coop,
04:51Ollie called out, wait, don't take another step.
04:55The fox stopped and turned around. Why not? he asked.
05:01Look at his color, Cassie said. It's like a beautiful sunset.
05:10And those strong muscles, Wing added. He'd be perfect.
05:16Perfect for what? the fox angrily asked. Who are you anyway?
05:22We're Mick, Mackie, and Moe, the famous Hollywood producers, Cassie replied.
05:31You might be perfect to star in our next movie, Wing added. It's called The Mighty Fox.
05:37Do you really think I can be a movie star? the fox asked.
05:43The turkeys huddled together. We're not sure, Cassie said.
05:48Let's see your teeth. The fox opened his jaws wide.
05:55They're pretty sharp, she said. Now let's check out his coordination,
06:02Ollie announced. How fast can you spin?
06:05The fox twirled around and around until he began to stagger.
06:10One more thing, Wing said. Let's see how angry you can get.
06:18Cassie and Ollie found a piece of rope and tied up the fox.
06:22He snarled, grunted, and howled. Is that angry enough? the fox asked.
06:29Yep, that's pretty angry, Cassie said. And now you're going to be very angry.
06:36Why? asked the fox. Because you're trapped, Ollie shouted.
06:41The fox screamed so loudly that everyone on the farm heard.
06:49Hey! exclaimed Farmer Kate. The turkeys who escaped last year are back.
06:55And look, said Farmer Joe. They saved the chickens from a fox.
07:01They're heroes. Hooray for the turkeys!
07:05Farmer Kate and Farmer Joe cried. You're welcome to live here on the farm as long as you'd like.
07:14As a special reward, the three turkeys were invited to join Farmer Joe
07:19and Farmer Kate's Thanksgiving feast, where they all ate pizza.
