00:00Stop moralizing the issue of breweries fundraising for Chinese schools.

00:07This is what former law minister Zaid Ibrahim had to say about the reaction of UMNO and

00:11PAS leaders on the matter, adding that they get angry about issues that don't affect

00:16them.

00:17He argued that receiving such funds is necessary for these schools as they receive little government

00:21funding.

00:22Zaid added that there are other pressing issues faced by the Malays, such as drug addiction

00:27and infidelity, which their leaders should focus on instead.

00:31He also highlighted concerns about sexual assaults in schools and the supervision of

00:35religious schools, accusing Malay leaders of neglecting their communities' real problems.

00:40Fundraising for Chinese medium schools became contentious after PAS criticized a deputy

00:44minister for accepting a RM3 million mock cheque bearing the Tiger Beer logo at a fundraiser.
