00:00He was pretty malnourished, very thin, I would put out food for him.

00:10The first few days, the food was untouched, then I started noticing him eating.

00:20It was going to be a tough winter, the rains started and it got colder and colder.

00:27I actually noticed that Domino was taking shelter under this overhang that we have.

00:31I thought I'd better build a little house for him.

00:36I'm a hobby woodworker, so it was right in my wheelhouse to do this.

00:42I designed it actually around this heated pad.

00:45One of the most important things is to have an emergency exit as well.

00:50Domino was actually watching me do the final touches on the house.

00:53I would tell him, it's coming, don't worry.

00:56So what happened that first night?

00:59I didn't know, maybe he wouldn't use it.

01:07That was a huge moment.

01:19I think this is probably the decade's best sleep, and he really used it throughout the

01:24winter.

01:25I don't want to team them or anything, I just want them to feel safe.

01:29So Billy just thought, it's just Domino.

01:33I started to realize that he has a friend.

01:38I saw them actually playing together.

01:41She really, really loves Domino.

01:59She's gone into the house a few times.

02:00However, her favorite spot is this tree that we have in the backyard.

02:03We have about, I would say, four or five cats that will go and sleep in the houses.

02:17One night, when one of the biggest storms of the year hit, I saw that two kittens actually

02:23took shelter in the house.

02:33That was one of the sweetest things ever.

02:38It's just really gratifying to be able to make a positive impact on their lives.
