00:00Well, new this morning, former YouTube CEO and one of the first Google employees, Susan Wojcicki, has died.

00:07She's one of the most prominent women in tech.

00:09A Santa Clara County native stepped down from her role at YouTube in 2023, and that was a position she held for nine years.

00:16Her husband confirmed his wife's death in a Facebook post saying she had non-small cell lung cancer for two years.

00:23She was involved with Google from the earliest days when two of the founders worked out of her garage.

00:28The current Google CEO said Wojcicki was core to the company's history. She was 56 years old.
