00:00Ready, ready, it's time for kick-off as this country's national under-14 footballers are
00:14currently locked in action with St. Kitts and Nevis in a dead-rubber match in the CFU
00:18Challenge Series at the Dwight York Stadium.
00:20The young Warriors lost last evening to 2-0 to Jamaica, with goals coming in either side
00:25of the half.
00:26This result means Jamaica finishes at the top of Tier 1 group with 9 points, followed
00:30by TNT with 6.
00:33Both the teams were undefeated coming into this match and this contest would reveal the
00:38team that was better prepared.
00:40The Jamaicans were applying the pressure up front early and they were knocking around
00:43the passes before the finish put them 1-0 ahead.
00:47Davion Clark gets the credit.
00:50TNT would make them wait until the second half before they would find the net again.
00:55A bad mistake at the back let loose the yellow and green.
00:58He never looked back.
00:59Kalando Morris keeping the ball at his feet and pushing past the defenders.
01:04Jamaica 2-0 up.
01:06The young Warriors earned a free kick and it was well taken but the score remained at
01:102-0.
01:16Perhaps Jamaica could have gone 3-0 up later in the second half.
01:19But after a brilliant run, the keeper was up to the task as this game would end 2-0
01:24in favour of Jamaica.
01:25They will play Aruba next.
01:26Sergio Dufort, TV6 Sports.
01:27Well now that the dust has settled, TNT will face either French Guiana or Puerto Rico from
01:36the other Tier 1 group in one of Friday's semi-final at the Dwight York Stadium.
01:40Reflecting on the result, TNT's coach Denzel Thierbault says the match was an eye-opener
01:44for his players.
01:45It's hard to take any positive from this game to be honest with you.
01:50I think we was outplayed.
01:51I think Jamaica was very much stronger than us.
01:55We have to put up our hands and face the reality.
01:59I think it's a good wake-up call in terms of what happened where we still have the opportunity
02:06to look forward to our semi-final and hopefully our final.
02:11But the boys will realise to themselves that there's a lot of work to be done.
02:15So I'm really happy about this.
02:17In terms of the result, because I'm disappointed we lost, but really happy that it was an eye-opener
02:24for them.
