00:15we re looking at the 10 best video game trios. Some say 3 is a crowd, while we say 3 is a

00:21well-oiled machine. Sometimes, sometimes they re just entertaining. Either way, let s do

00:25it.

00:34Nate, Elena and Sully. The 3 main characters of the Uncharted series come in the form of

00:48a wisecracking younger hothead, an old wise mentor and a smart-as-a-whip partner. The

00:53bond among the three of them started in the original game and set the tone for the rest

00:57of the series. Initially, their relationship wasn t smooth as Elena, a reporter, worked

01:03with the two treasure hunters and was promptly excommunicated from their little church of

01:07booty and looty. However, after being reunited, they developed a strong rapport and have remained

01:12close ever since. Nate and Elena even got married and somehow Sully never seems like

01:16a third wheel when the crew is together.

01:34Mega Man Rush and Roll

01:41Mega Man, Rush and Roll form a beloved trio in gaming due to their complementary roles

01:45and enduring camaraderie. In other words, they tight like a little family. Mega Man

01:50as the heroic protagonist embodies determination and courage facing formidable foes to save

01:55the world. His trusty robotic dog companion Rush provides invaluable support with various

02:00transformations that aid in traversal and combat, enhancing gameplay dynamics. Roll,

02:06Mega Man s sister and skilled mechanic, contributes to the team with her technical expertise and

02:10caring nature, often providing crucial upgrades and support from behind the scenes. And with

02:15these powers combined, they are Captain Pl- Mega Man series.

02:25Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri

02:29An argument could be made for Geralt, Yennefer and Triss and has been many times, but we

02:33feel like they re less of a cohesive and tight team and more of a love triangle. Their relationship

02:38as a trio has nothing on the little family that is Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri. Acting

02:44as essentially de facto parents to Ciri, Geralt and Yennefer guide her through her

02:48early years with a pure balance of training and love that leads them to spending the majority

02:53of the game trying to find and save her, as their love for her transcends any issues they

02:57share. It s a beautiful trio with a beautiful story and we love to see it.

03:07Sly, Bentley and Murray

03:22Here s a trio we haven t thought about for more than 10 years and with their unique skills

03:26suited to different roles, they form one of the most exceptional team of thieves we ve

03:30ever seen in gaming, despite the fact that one of them looks like this. Bentley, nicknamed

03:35the turtle, acts as the mastermind behind their operations, devising intricate plans.

03:40Think Lester Crest, but a little less turtley. Murray provides the team s muscle with his

03:44considerable size and strength, often doubling as the getaway driver. And Sly, renowned for

03:50his unparalleled agility, balance and stealth, is among the most adept thieves in gaming.

03:55He needs his own Assassin s Creed spinoff. Sly Assassin s Creed, shut up.

04:00Sora, Donald and Goofy

04:09When most people think of a video game trio, they will instantly say Sora, Donald and Goofy.

04:14They re easily the most prominently featured trio across generations of gaming and stand

04:19out for reasons well beyond just the gameplay. While Sora has other allies coming in and

04:24out of the party at various points in the game, these two iconic Disney characters are

04:28consistently by his side. Though Sora and Donald have had their disagreements, their

04:33legendary adventures have forged a strong bond and enduring friendship among them. Goofy

04:38is just Goofy, and God bless that big dog thing.

05:07Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle

05:09This trio is not always the first to come to mind for players, as they rarely appear

05:13together in the games, and lack any real connection. However, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle

05:18are inseparable in fans minds due to their status as starter Pokemon options in the first

05:23generation games. Players must choose between them early in these titles, sparking ongoing

05:28debates about which is the superior choice. Yet, regardless of personal preference, each

05:33Pokemon holds its own appeal and remains among the most iconic starter options in Pokemon

05:38history. I for one always pick Charmander. Unless I pick Squirtle. Or Bulbasaur.

05:43Sonic, Tails and Knuckles

05:46One of the most renowned trios in gaming hails from the Sonic series. Sonic himself is the

05:58well-known protagonist and central figure of the crew, rivaling Mario and his stupid mates,

06:03Luigi? Who the hell is even that? Tails and Knuckles typically serve as crucial secondary

06:08characters, assisting Sonic in his missions. Despite their similarities and also their

06:13differences, all three characters deeply care for and respect one another, forming a cohesive

06:17team in their adventures. Dante, Vergil and Nero

06:27Dante, Vergil and Nero form a compelling trio in the Devil May Cry series due to their distinct

06:49personalities and roles, which complement each other seamlessly, much like Sly, Bentley and

06:54Murray. Equally cool and equally cool. Together, they create a trio that balances Dante's experience,

07:01Vergil's seriousness and Annoying Nero's annoying youthful annoying vigor, enhancing the narrative

07:06depth and gameplay variety of the series, even with Annoying Nero being annoying. Their intertwining

07:11relationships and shared struggles against formidable foes enrich the Devil May Cry

07:15universe, making them a memorable and effective team not only in this game, but in gaming history.

07:20Mimir, Atreus and Kratos

07:50When the game begins, we spend a good couple of hours following Atreus and Kratos as they

08:02battle with their inability to relate to one another, without the glue that was Kratos' wife

08:06and Atreus' mother. Once they meet Mimir, we officially begin the banter and the game takes

08:12off. Mimir offers a word to the wise in almost all instances and gives Atreus someone else to

08:17talk with and learn from apart from his stoic and quiet father. The three have a dynamic that

08:23is compelling to watch and give us the best trio we've seen in the last 10 years. Unfortunately,

08:2811 years ago, we got our best trio of all time. Franklin, Michael and Trevor

08:47In GTA V, Rockstar innovated by featuring three protagonists instead of the usual one,

09:10creating one of the most compelling multi-protagonist titles to date,

09:13and showing developers a new way to approach party-driven games. A significant part of its

09:18success stems from the dynamic relationships and interactions among the main characters.

09:22Each protagonist possesses a distinct personality. Franklin, a young car thief with ambition beyond

09:28his current life, Michael, a retired criminal navigating suburban family life amidst chaos,

09:32and Trevor, an unpredictable figure aiming to establish a criminal empire. Dysfunctional and

09:38complex, the relationship between these three is one of the most compelling to watch in all of
