00:00Ship coach Troy Scoble, it's got a nice ring to it. How proud are you of these boys' efforts today?

00:06Super proud. I think when you play a side like East Point that's so talented it probably makes

00:11it a bit even more special because you know you've actually got to really beat a good side.

00:16But yeah, the challenges we faced. We lost Lucky Watkins in the second quarter

00:21but that was our year. Challenge after challenge. I thought East were running the game out really

00:26strongly too despite their last month. They've done an amazing job but yeah, super proud of the

00:30boys. I hate to say it but you made mention up on the podium that a little bit of rain from above

00:35at the first 10 minutes of that last quarter and it probably stopped their momentum a little bit.

00:39Yeah, I spoke to a few people and Bill's dad and when I was walking out to the three-quarter time

00:47huddle I thought Bill we need something and it dumped rain. I thought thanks mate.

00:53It probably did help a bit. Well they had all the momentum. But then it stopped so I thought

00:57it should have kept going. No, but 2-5 they kicked in the third quarter. Nah, they were terrific.

01:01I said that at three-quarter time to the players. Honestly, we lost our game style.

01:06East took it away from us and they really let us off the hook with a few misses which was

01:10fortunate. We'd let them off the hook I thought in the first half with a few misses. We just didn't

01:14nail our moments but we knew it would come and then yeah and then Braden had the shot to get

01:21us there. I thought when Ryan missed the shot when he cramped as he kicked it would be costly

01:26but at the end of the day now we're winners. It doesn't really matter how much you win.

01:34Looking at the scoreboard we held them to our average and that's probably where it is.

01:38So yeah, so they're probably there 2-5 in the third is probably what cost them and

01:42yeah missed opportunities. Bad kickers, bad football. Tell me about just okay let's just

01:48throw some of these boys. I thought the Carter boys for example when it mattered,

01:52mark after mark. You try and develop your game style where you're not relying on anyone and

01:58we tried to develop a forward six this year but you do so knowing that come grand final day

02:03that's their job and they were unbelievable. They were good players and they just stood up for us

02:08and when they're going it makes it a bit easier for the smalls. Finals aren't made for big blokes

02:12though. I mean it's rare you see two big blokes just clunk it and to be honest I thought they

02:16both could have won one of the medals each. Yeah they were both fantastic and I thought Braden you

02:20know I think he's kicked five points today or whatever but they're all great. We knew if we

02:23got enough forward opportunities we could kick a score. You're getting told off here mate. I was

02:30going to have to talk to Max as well. I mean is it a little bit special when you've got your own

02:33son in the team as well? Yeah it is because I didn't think about it too much until after the

02:38game and I was looking for him and that's when you want to be a dad and I thought I just need

02:4110 minutes to be a dad and not a coach and yeah that was really special. Yeah fantastic mate well
