जितिया व्रत में मां अपने बच्चे की लंबी उम्र और बेहतर स्वास्थ्य के लिए प्रार्थना करती हैं और सारा दिन व्रत रखती हैं. इस व्रत को बच्चों के लिए ही रखा जाता है और इस दिन भगवान जीमूतवाहन की पूजा की जाती है.ऐसे में सभी अपने दोस्तों और प्रियजनों को जितिया व्रत की शुभकामनाएं भेजते है.
